Punjab Approves Billions for Key Road Projects
LAHORE – The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party has greenlit multiple road projects worth billions of rupees to boost connectivity across the province.
Major schemes include:
– Rs. 934m for a 36-km stretch from Lakisan Pul to Lillian in Sargodha.
– Rs. 1.67b for widening 69 km from Sargodha to Jhamra.
– Rs. 875.9m for Chak 59/Janubi to Sillanwall Mor road.
– Rs. 1.07b for Samundari-Rajana to Khiderwala-Gojra Road in Faisalabad.
– Rs. 1b for rebuilding the 47-km Ichogil–Ghawindi-Barki Junction road in Lahore.
The projects aim to modernize infrastructure, improve trade routes, and ease travel for millions.
