Pakistan Army Successfully Test-Fires Fatah-4 Missile
Islamabad, October 1, 2025 — The Pakistan Army has successfully conducted the test firing of its latest ground-launched cruise missile, Fatah-4, marking a significant boost to the country’s conventional strike capabilities.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Fatah-4 has a range of 750 kilometres and is equipped with advanced avionics, modern navigation systems, and terrain-hugging flight capabilities designed to evade hostile missile defense networks. The missile was launched as part of a scheduled training exercise, witnessed by senior military officials, engineers, and scientists under the newly established Army Rocket Force Command.
Military officials hailed the development as an important step in enhancing the reach, lethality, and survivability of Pakistan’s missile program. They emphasized that the Fatah-4 strengthens the nation’s deterrence posture and provides greater flexibility in responding to evolving security challenges.
The successful test was widely praised by the country’s leadership, including the President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the Service Chiefs, who congratulated the troops and scientists for their achievement.
Security analysts see the test as part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to maintain a credible defense posture in the region, particularly in light of longstanding tensions with neighboring India. The development highlights the country’s continued focus on advancing its indigenous defense technology to ensure strategic stability.
