Pakistan Unveils Grand Gaming & Animation Hub to Shape Digital Future

Pakistan has taken a decisive leap into the global digital arena with the launch of the Center of Excellence in Gaming & Animation (CEGA), a joint initiative by the Ignite National Technology Fund under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, and HUM Network.

Touted as the country’s largest gaming and animation hub, CEGA is set to incubate 200 startups over five years, train 10,000 individuals in world-class digital skills, and provide a state-of-the-art co-working space with 100 free seats for aspiring innovators.

The initiative aims to convert Pakistan’s vast creative potential into a global force, equipping young developers, animators, and entrepreneurs with mentorship, funding, and international exposure. By fostering a culture of innovation, CEGA seeks to position Pakistan as a regional powerhouse in game development and digital content creation.

Officials describe the hub as a “landmark in Pakistan’s digital journey”, designed to safeguard the future of its creative economy while opening doors to lucrative global markets.
