Park View City Lahore Floods: Crisis & Response
Relentless monsoon rains and rising river levels have left Park View City Lahore among the worst-hit localities, with streets and homes submerged. Families were forced to higher ground, some evacuated by boat, as the Ravi River overflowed and embankments breached.
The floods have wreaked havoc—damaged homes, power outages, contaminated water, and rising health risks—leaving residents, especially children and the elderly, in distress.
Punjab authorities declared an emergency, setting up relief camps, distributing food and medicine, and coordinating evacuations. NGOs and volunteers are also on the ground, supporting displaced families.
This disaster mirrors the wider Punjab flood crisis, one of the region’s worst in decades, with thousands displaced as the Ravi, Chenab, and Sutlej rivers swelled. Authorities continue to monitor weather patterns and embankments, urging residents to remain vigilant as the monsoon persists.
